The IP67 rated model IH-153E Ember Detector employs Infra-red sensitive photoelectric sensors for the detection of glowing embers on applications such as COAL CONVEYORS. The unit has a narrow spectral sensitivity (3 to 5 um) making it impervious to visible light. The detector can reliably and rapidly detect weak Infra-Red radiation emissions from embers resulting from smouldering fragments of wood or coal. The sensitivity of the IH-153E, being designed and constructed specifically for the detection of glowing embers, is far superior to more \"conventional\" flame detectors. With Instrument air air purging at 3 to 7 bar used to keep the detector \"eye\" clean in polluted environments.
