The unit consists of a V shaped drum / shell that is mounted in such a manner as to allow rotation about an axis. The V shell has a valve at the one end and two lids at the other. The lids allows for inspection of the inside of the V drum / shell as well as loading of the material / ingredients required for mixing into the \"drum\". This can either be done manually or by means of a vacuum transfer system. The lid therefore also facilitates connection of the vacuum transfer systems\' piping to the V drum/shell.
