We love Willows (for the shade they provide but also when they are turned into great Bats), we also love Black Wattle, Sickle Bush and Black Thorn – especially when they are turned into Ashes. Being invasive species, and Covering a lot of farming ground in South Africa – we prefer to remove it. This alien wood is much handier dry and at a braai. At Biff’s we support locally-owned businesses who source and cut the wood. Through these efforts we also help to preserve water (a scarce resource) and aid sustainable game-breeding projects – Howzat for being socially responsible? Because our firewood is hardwood that has been naturally cured for a minimum of 12 months, it lights up easier, burns hotter and produces outstanding coal for either braaing or home heating.
