Dehumidifiers are used to reduce the relative humidity in buildings where moisture and dampness constitute a problem. Reducing the high relative humidity also reduces mould growth and improves health.The moisture/dampness is reduced by using refrigeration to cool the moist air below the dew point temperature (at the evaporator) where it condenses and is drained out of the conditioned environment.
