UBL is a Private Limited Company which was initially registered in 1967 as an associate of Chloride Group PLC, a UK company that had battery manufacturing operations in forty one countries worldwide. Even after the Chloride Group wound up it operations in 1990 and the company became fully owned by a Ugandan family, UBL has continued to expand its operations to maintain its leadership in the battery business.
