A Blast Freezer Room, also called a flash freezer or shock freezer, is used to rapidly freeze perishable products. Once an item has been blast frozen, it can be safely moved to a general freezer for long-term storage. As long as they are kept frozen, blast-frozen items can be safely stored for far longer periods of time than foods frozen with more conventional methods. This makes it an economical choice for many commercial food service and product providers. The length of time the freezing process takes has a direct effect on the final quality of the product.
