In September 2001, Johan and Bernadene Potgieter, Marius and Elaine Louw, and Henk Mac Donald started a company called Secrivest One, trading as Gordonia Verkoeling en Elektries Groblersdal. The company mainly provided refrigeration installation and maintenance services and took on ad hoc electrical projects, mostly in the agricultural field. In April 2006, Henk Mac Donald became the sole owner of the company and the trading name was changed to Coolmac (Pty) Ltd. Since then the company has gained recognition for extensive expertise in refrigeration design and installation, electrical and automation projects, plant monitoring, automation, and Engineering Best Practices maintenance.
