Fibertex geotextiles are needlepunched non-wovens made from polypropylene staple fibre. The drylaid needlepunched technology is based on a two-step process. Firstly, polypropylene resin is extruded into fibres. Secondly, the fibres are carded and needlepunched. Finally, many product types are subjected to thermal treatment (for example IR bonding, hot air bonding or calendering). All Fibertex geotextiles are UV-stabilised, resistant to acids and alkalis and protected against attack from fungi or rot. Fibertex geotextiles are used for filtration, drainage, separation and liner protection. Standard products range from 80g/m² to 1200g/m².
