The second pain killer to be discovered; in 1893 by an English Chemist. Produced as a synthetic alternative to the Cinchona bark which had become scarce at the time. Final improvements came in 1948 into the present day Paracetamol form. This is an analgesic – a pain killer – for moderate pain relief of tension headaches, & migraines, and an antipyretic – reduces high body temperature (fever).
